OAC Requirements
Section titled “OAC Requirements”To be eligible for an Official Artist Channel, your channel must meet all of these:
- At least 3 official releases delivered to YouTube through LabelGrid (not just one).
- The channel name must exactly match your LabelGrid artist metadata — same spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.
- The channel must represent a single artist or band (not multiple artists).
- At least one public video uploaded to the channel.
- The channel must comply with all YouTube community guidelines.
How to Get an OAC
Section titled “How to Get an OAC”LabelGrid submits the OAC request to YouTube on your behalf — you don’t self-link.
- Make sure all the prerequisites above are met.
- Contact LabelGrid support to request OAC linking.
- YouTube reviews your channel eligibility, the metadata match, and your content.
- Processing can take up to 90 days (this is YouTube’s window, not a guarantee).
- LabelGrid notifies you once you’re approved or rejected.
Common reasons for rejection: the channel name doesn’t match your artist metadata, fewer than 3 releases on YouTube, the channel covers multiple artists, or no public video has been uploaded.
